This Smock was born from a shared ambition to design outdoor clothing that better meet the challenges of today’s real-life users.
Survival expert Ed Stafford has earned his spurs. During his survival trips he was often soaked to the bone and suffered severely from cold weather conditions. Enduring some of the planet’s most hostile environments, he’s equipped with unparalleled protective gear know-how.
Together with Ridgeline, Stafford decided to develop a Smock that can withstand almost all (weather) conditions.
After a months-long process of sharing expertise, combining ethos, developing solutions and tearing apart traditional thinking, they have come to a beautiful end product. Central to the development process was a resistance to compromise in function and materials and Ed’s desire to overcome the usual limitations of outerwear.
